2020 - Nestlé Hong Kong’s CSR ( Corporate Social Responsibility) Initiatives
Nestlé Hong Kong's Support for Healthcare Workers
2020 was a unprecedented year where our society has to face health challenges.
In order to express our support to healthcare workers, Nestlé Hong Kong has been donating various products to healthcare organizations across the year, including over 33,000 cans of coffee to six public hospitals under the Hospital Authority to encourage the healthcare workers and hospital staff. We are happy to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Hospital Authority in expression of their thankfulness for our support.

Our donated products to healthcare organizations also included NESCAFÉ® coffee, NESTLÉ® MILO® Breakfast Cereal Bar, NESTLÉ® yoghurt products, as well as the newly launched PAK FOOK® JOY GREEN™ Lite Sugar Black Soya Bean Drink and No Added Sugar Soya Drink. We wish to empower healthcare workers with our nutritious, energetic and delicious products.

2020 Nestlé Hong Kong Goodie Bag Distribution
Nestlé Hong Kong is committed to promoting “Nutrition, Health and Wellness” by providing quality food and good life to society. In May this year, Nestlé Hong Kong partnered with FOOD-CO and People Service Centre of St. James’ Settlement to distribute 2,000 goodie bags to under-privileged families and overcome the difficulties presented during the pandemic.
There were a variety of quality Nestlé products in the goodie bags, including nutritional drinks for children, yoghurt drinks, cereal bars, coffee and chocolate. The bags also contained encouraging messages and nutrition information leaflets to cheer up the beneficiaries.
Nestlé Hong Kong also sent volunteer representatives to work together with volunteers of NGO partners, to show our care for the under-privileged community by giving out goodie bags.
Nestlé's Goodie Bag Donation for Winter Solstice
In order to celebrate Winter Solstice, one of the most important festivals for Chinese community. For the past few years, Nestlé Hong Kong partnered with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGH) to arrange for Pui Choi gathering for elderlies and underprivileged families to enjoy the festival together. However, it is impossible for large gatherings to take place in 2020, therefore Nestlé Hong Kong prepared goodies bags and distributed to Tung Wah's members and beneficiaries to express Nestlé's care and share happiness with them.
Nestlé staff worked together to pack products donated from various brand teams into 500 goodies bags. Goodies bags have been delivered to the elderlies and underprivileged families before Winter Solstice so all of us can enjoy Good Food, Good Life together in this festive season.
Nestlé Hong Kong and Heep Hong Society Career Talk
Volunteer activities in 2020 had mostly been either cancelled or placed on hold, but we are glad to have taken a step further and work with our NGO partners in order to allow our continuous support to the society while adapting to the new normal.
In collaboration with Heep Hong Society, we organized an online Career Talk on 3 November to offer insights and knowledge about different roles along the supply chain, hoping to help with Heep Hong’s special-needs youth members’ career planning.
This talk could not be made possible without the support from our Supply Chain team, Factory Production team and Human Resources, we hope the guidance we provided during the talk helped all participating youths.

Nestlé Hong Kong Supports the Post-50 Internship Program
Creating Shared Value is essential to Nestlé’s business development. During our operation, we create value for both the business and the society.
In response to the situation of ageing society, Nestlé Hong Kong participated in the Post-50 Internship Programme organized by the Employee Retraining Board (“ERB”) in 2020. The Programme offered internship opportunities to encourage people aged over 50, who retired yet still wish and are able to work or who would like to have a change on their career path, to equip themselves through the short-term internship and begin a new page in the workplace.
In the Programme, our post-50 intern supported our Nestlé Health Science team and enriched her work experience under the leadership of her manager. Fruitful and meaningful experience has been delivered to both sides.
