Nestlé Management Trainee Program

Overview

The objective of the Nestlé Management Trainee Program is to develop young graduates with high potential and passion into our future business leaders. During the 24-month program, successful high-calibers will land on one of our functions:

  • Brand Marketing (Business units: Grocery, Nestlé Professional or Wyeth)
  • Sales & Trade Marketing (Business unit: Ice-cream & Chilled)
  • Production Management

Training & Development

We offer not only industry-focused skillsets training, but also provide personalized functional training as well as leadership skill development.

A people leader will be assigned as your Mentor to ensure you receive fully support and inspiration at Nestlé. The Mentor will share his/her valuable experience, along with professional advice towards your job duties and career aspirations.

Apart from on-the-job training, numerous online training courses are available on our learning platform, complemented by occasional offline sessions. At Nestlé, your learning journey continues as long as you are eager to grow.

Functional Rotations

You are expected to become an expert in your assigned business unit, after the completion of this program. There are opportunities for rotations within your business unit based on business needs. 

In each role, you will delve deeply into understanding our businesses, customers, competitions, and identifying our opportunities. 

Through all these exposures, you will become proficient in your business unit and be able to drive strategies and create business impact for Nestlé.

Career Progression

After the 24-month program, you should be a valuable individual contributor in your business unit. Subject to business needs, you will have the opportunity to promote as Assistant Manager role or above upon program completion. 

After that, based on your performance and potential, your progression to Team Leader and eventually to a Business Leader can be accelerated.

Who’s eligible?

  • You are graduating from an Undergraduate / Postgraduate Degree no later than July 2025
  • Some business units offer flexibility for candidates who graduated no more than 1 year
  • All academic disciplines are welcomed, with a specific discipline may enhance your candidacy for some business units
  • Right of abode in Hong Kong SAR
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with a passion to develop your career in Nestlé
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, with strong learning agility
  • Highly adaptable to new roles and challenges
  • A good team player with leadership potential to drive objectives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with individuals across all teams and hierarchies
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Nice to have part-time or internship experience, with exposure to the FMCG industry considered a plus
